:: Digital Diversions
So I'm in another funk and I haven't done a bleach painting since AUGUST! Sad, so sad.I'm trying to make myself feel like painting by focusing on some of my computer based art, like you see above.
I'm finding that the digital diversion is really helping me. First, the color is so fun for me. The bleaches do get a little redundant when that is all you see. And using the Wacom tablet to 'paint' at least keeps my hand doing the same motion and gives the brain an outlet for what little creativity is in there right now.
I've also used many of my photographs as the basis for these half paintings, half manipulations and that makes me feel like I'm beginning to tie all of my creative outlets together. Now if I can just get the bleach back into the mix we'll be golden, literally. Get it? That's the color the bleach turns the paper . . . nevermind. ;-)
Leave a comment if your blocked too. Artistically that is. Misery loves company! heehee.

I've been there! Trust me I know and it sucks but it does pass. It is great that you are experimenting and still making art!
That is what is important. I'm taking a little breather from woodblock printing but I am nowhere near stopping creating.
But I love your bleach paintings so!
Thank you so much M. I get so nervous when these funks go on for that long!
You have a good excuse for a break with that adorable baby!
Sometimes we all need to just walk away and roll around on the floor with them for a while huh. lol.
Your digital work is outstanding!
I have been in that same funk off and on. It's OK. You'll pull out of it.
I've always loved your bleach paintings, but your computer art is gorgeous too. Thanks for sharing it.
I love your work Deborah, both the bleach and the digital Diversion. I know you won't give your secrets away. I was wondering if is a filter the you use to transform the digital image?
Congratulation beautiful work, so organic.:)
Don't worry about the funk, that happen toall artists. The important thing is to keep working in something. Eventually it pass and you will get back toit, but keep creating.
